Performance Comparison
The Honeywell HCM-350 felt fairly intuitive and simple to use and earned an above-average score in our user friendliness testing. Its interface is a single knob that adjusts the fan's speed that blows air over the wick. The HCM-350 uses a fan to blow air over a wet wick.
This evaporative style is slightly louder, but also naturally regulates humidification. The Honeywell HCM-350 earned a decent score in our humidifying testing, putting it squarely in the middle of the test lineup. It brought our 150 square foot testing room to 45% humidity in just 34 minutes, almost twice as fast as some other models. It also reached a maximum humidity of 58.9%. Really great humidifier that works well in our bedroom and helps baby whens they have a cold. Easy to clean and care for and super effective in humidifying the space.
How to Select the Perfect Humidifier
The removable tank is dishwasher safe and break resistant for increased peace of mind. The availability of three speed settings allows for more control in finding the perfect moisture output and sound level for your setting. It took a while to receive because it was out of stock at the time.
It is usually very dry in California & since running this in my home I have noticed a big difference. This makes it much more comfortable to sleep at night. I haven't used this new one yet -- we have it running constantly from late Sept thru May or until we have the doors and windows open. I can tell you that the other one we had basically the same as this one was wonderful. I highly recommend it for a bedroom.

I kept it at full blast for first couple of days. The first floor felt totally different than the basement or the second floor. Then every night I took it to the bedroom and turned it to low setting. It is very quiet, although I had to get used to the occasional bubbling as the water level adjusted. The dry nose, sinuses and scratchy skin issues were solved pretty much in a day or two.
I bought a bargain brand and it just didn't work very well. Sagged into a mass and so wasn't efficient. This is the bane of the Honeywell HCM-350.

The Honeywell HCM-350 didn't get a higher user-friendliness score because of a few oddities related to its evaporative humidifying method. First off, it makes more noise than any other models in our humidifiers review. It's not loud and just sounds like a small fan, but if you're looking for something quiet, this isn't the machine for you.
Does require cleaning, but nothing too difficult. Do need to replace the filter, so there is a cost to that, but overall, the unit is a good unit. It does not pump out as much water as some humidifiers I have had, but maybe they were overhumidifying. In any case, it is simple, clean, and does not have any annoying attributes noises, lights, etc..
I can let it run for a full day on low without having to change the water. Unit works quickly to raise room humidity to healthier levels. Quiet at night on low to maintain humidity. Considering buying another one for downstairs area. This is one incredible humidifier!!!
Compared to many other room Humidifiers this unit is the best, its 3 speeds allows you to sleep comfortably. The price is good, but the fact that it doesn't shut off when it's empty is a problem. I fear it will put extra wear and tear on the motor.
The estimates for delivery were very good. The product was packaged well, no damage, etc. Very easy to set up and operate. The product is fairly large, but not so much to be an eyesore.
